03 Jul ZZ-030 “Cat’s spring”
DISTANCE: 18.10 km
CLIMB: +960 m
TIME: 2h 30' - 3h h
WITH MUD: Feasible
AREA: Río Ara
A spectacular route in every respect:
A good ascent by an unpaved road in good condition with 950 m of possitive height difference.
Alpine surroundings in its highest point (1800 m.a.s.l.), with nice meadows adjacent to Ordesa National Park. Magnificient views of Broto valley.
Experienced bikers will make the most of the fantastic descent cause there are some twisted and rocky sections… although first it goes through a north face forest in a “Canadian” style.
Sources: Broto y Buesa
Variant: “Sarratieto“. It’s possible to ride the last downhill section by a tougher singletrack which goes directly to Broto. Not advisable in wet conditions.
37,5% of trail. Sandstones, flysch. No mud.
To be done only in spring-summer-autumn, in winter there may be snow.
