DESCRIPTION
The Entremón is a canyon that the Cinca river has excavated on limestone rocks. Apart from the unquestionable visual spectacle that we are going to enjoy, there is a very important historical-medieval component.
The landmark of the route are the so-called “Samitier Castles”.
Built between 1030 and 1050 by Ramiro I (first king of Aragon) in full reconquest, advancing south and consolidating positions.
Two large reservoirs begin and end here: Mediano and El Grado.
There are 3 recommended departure points with services.
At a sporting level, comment that the “entrevito” climb is only for eBikes with experience, but that section is really short (350m approx.).
There is a variant that goes up the asphalt and that avoids the Mina loop to smooth the route.
Recommendations: Be kind to the hikers you see. Looking north and south for a long time from the Castles of Samitier. This way we will understand the geography of the area
