DESCRIPTION
Geographic route that will help us understand what the Sierra de Arbe is like and what it is made of.
At the beginning we will go up an isolated road that was once the connection between Sobrarbe and the south. We will ride through the firebreaks of its hill (with an impossible ramp) to San Benito, the landmark of the route, from where the Pyrenees and Somontano can be seen.
What we are left with is a festival of changing terrain: conglomerates and ocher sandstones that will make us feel in a western. And we arrived at the Susía River, as unknown as it was extraordinary.
The climb up the track back to the mountains is hard, but aren’t you enduring ?. Relax, the final descent from Telleto is worth everything.
It is important to visit Abizanda and Olsón. If it has rained a lot, we will get our feet wet in the Susia river.
TERRAIN
35% of singletrack. Conglomerates in the Mountain Chain and continental sandstones in the Susía River.
RECOMMENDATIONS
All year round. In the summer, leave soon.
If the river Susía rises, it is better to go up to Javierre from the mill, and continue by road until you reach the route. It is indicated.
Olsón’s church and Abizanda’s castle are spectacular.
