DESCRIPTION
“Toledo de la Nata” is a vast and unusual territory, nestled in the sun-drenched Sierra Ferrera. Geologically, we navigate between two distinct sedimentary worlds: limestone and marl, yet linked by a colossal landslide of the limestone over the marl.
Everything we describe must be seen and understood. Bare, photogenic, vast, and strange terrain. And much more.
A journey through a captivating landscape, where Homo sapiens has sought the warmth of sun-drenched walls and endless springs since the dawn of time.
The route begins and ends at the “Tronzadora” craft brewery in La Cabezonada. It’s best to celebrate the end of the route with a mug of beer right there. And that way you contribute to the upkeep of the trails. Thank you.
TERRAIN
50% trail. Marl and limestone. Generally open terrain with holm oak groves. Cross steep ravines like Mother's Cream, avoid floods.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Take time to visit villages like Atiart (beautifully restored), La Mula (stuck in the 19th century), the Monastery of San Victorián, and the Church of San Juan de Toledo, jewels of our heritage.
Have a Tronzadora beer at the same artisanal brewery in Cabezonada.
You'll see more, but it will be a surprise.
