We work collaboratively to ensure that all of us in the county of Sobrarbe maintain a close relationship with our neighbours in the valleys of Aure and Louron: a region that offers many superb opportunities – not least of all for cycling!
Louron Valley also offers a fully dedicated cycling experience.
At the foot of the mountains, next to Lake Génos-Loudenvielle, you can enjoy the Pyrenees’ first Pump Track. Built in two sections, the track is designed to accommodate all riders, from beginners through to the most energetic dirt-bikers!
Louron also boasts a Bike Park certified by the French MTB Federation. The facility offers 10 MTB circuits, adapted to suit all the family, and 11 Enduro routes that follow genuine mountain trails.
Descend through the Peyragudes and Val Louron ski resorts by bike. Woodland circuits filled with cambered curves, hoops, boardwalks, jumps and other surprises. In order to maximize cyclists’ enjoyment, Louron Valley also offers an MTB transfer service.
Located in the valley of Aure, at an altitude of 800 metres and just 20 kilometres from the Spanish border, Saint-Lary is the region’s nerve centre for winter sports and acts as a base camp for those looking to practice sports in the French and Spanish mountains: from skiing, cycling and hiking, to paragliding, canyoning and rafting.
The Saint-Lary ski resort is home to a Bike Park that boasts the longest descent in the Pyrenees.
The area around Saint-Lary is home to some of the most famous mountain passes in the Tour de France: Pla d’Adet, Aspin, Azet and Tourmalet.
Saint-Lary is not just for sport: it’s also a destination for those looking to relax, thanks to its laid-back lifestyle and thermal spa.
